We have a question asking about alerts on charts, and whether there are any apps or services that we use to set alerts on our phone when particular price levels has been reached.
In terms of specific services I am sure there are services available that will alert you of key levels, but the best way and the easiest way and also probably the cheapest way that I can advise you to go about it is by having an MT4 trading platform with the key markets you are watching running.
So, the first thing you’ll want to do is download the MT4 mobile app, and then on the app you want to connect your trading account, there are a bunch of articles and how to videos for that on google so you can just have a quick search if you don’t have it setup already.
Then what you want to do, in your mobile app, and you go to the APP settings there will be an option called messages, and under messages you find a METAQUOTES ID, copy that ID and then go back to your MT4 platform.
Go to the tab called tools, then options, and then select notifications, from notifications enable your push notifications and trade transactions, and then in the MetaQuotes ID section put in the ID from your MT4 app, and when you’re don just test it to see if it’s working and then press OK.
After this, when you set an alert on your MT4 charts, open up the alert settings and under the Action dropdown, select the NOTIFICATIONS option.
That way, the moment your alert level is reached, you’ll get notified of it on your phone. For me, that remains the easiest way to get notified of these levels on my phone.
But I am sure there are paid services out there that will do that for you, but for me, this way is free and it’s very easy once it’s set up.
