Veteran trader Tone Weiss says he's identified the catalyst that helped BTC cross the $100,000 mark.
In a recent YouTube video, he said BTC faces "critical resistance" that the market must overcome to reach the $100,000 mark.
Weiss said that the past 200-week moving average reflected Bitcoin's bearish momentum. But that's no longer the case.
Asked about BTC's recent correction to the $48,000 area, he said that BTC will inevitably bounce to the $62,000 area and then return to the $55,000 area to begin a strong rally.
He also believes bitcoin is forming a triangle pattern and is now trying to break out of it. Once the breakout signal ends, the price of BTC could head towards the $100,000 area in the future.
