Bitcoin's mining complexity recently reached a record 29.79 trillion, and is currently the highest it has ever been for a BTC block award. Two weeks earlier on April 27, after rising to 28.2 trillion, the network's complexity increased by 5.56%.

Bitcoin miners continue to maintain a high pace despite the increase in complexity. That said, bitcoin has lost 6.2% in the last two weeks, which has unfortunately made mining less profitable.

Despite this circumstance, bitcoin miners have raised the hash rate to a new all-time high in terms of processing power, which reached an all-time high of 275.01 Eh/s on May 2, 2022 on block 734,577.

The previous value was reached on Block 733 197 on April 23 with a computational power of 271.19 Eh/s. Since then, the overall hash rate has increased by 1.40%.

Seven-day statistics show that Foundry USA has become the leading mining pool, owning 21.76% of hash capacity at an average rate of 49.29 Eh/s over the past seven days. The second largest mining pool last week was Antpool, as it received 145 rewards per block last week.

Antpool controlled 13.54% of the world's hash rate with 30.68 Eh/s, ranking third.

With increased demand for efficient mining devices, ASIC makers Bitmain and Microbt are preparing to introduce much more powerful machines next month.
