Marketwatch is the window in MetaTrader 4 that shows you all trading assets available with your broker. Normally on the top of the Marketwatch, you will see the currency pairs from the broker, below are the stocks, indexes, commodities, cryptocurrencies. If you do not see them all, you need to right click over any of the assets in the Marketwatch and select Show All. This way you will see all the assets provided by your broker in the Marketwatch.

In the Marketwatch normally you see three columns - the asset, the bid, and the ask price. You can have a 4th one by right click and select Spread. The spread is the difference between the bid and the ask price. This is from there the broker benefits. It is good to have the spread in your Marketwatch so this way you will always know how much it is before opening a trade.

If you are looking for an asset in the Marketwatch and you can not find it, you can use the keyboard. Press the first letter of the desired asset. For example, if you are looking for NZDUSD, press N and it will start rolling around all the assets with N. With a few clicks you will find the NZDUSD.

The Marketwatch is a free lecture from the MetaTrader 4 course created by Petko Aleksandrov, Head trader at EA Forex Academy. He has systematically placed all the information needed by a trader to start using the MetaTrader 4 platform. He will introduce you with all the indicators available in the platform, the drawing tools, different shapes, and labels. Also, you will learn the different methods to open a position.
