In this lecture, you will learn how to perform backtesting Forex Expert Advisors. This function of MetaTrader 4 makes the platform quite different from all the others.

First of all MetaTrader 4 allows trading with Expert Advisors. Something that is not available with all the web platforms from the brokers.

Second, we can do backtesting Forex EAs, which means that we can see the actual results for the past with an Expert Advisor that is coded for MetaTrader 4.

Thirds, we have the visual backtesting Forex mode, which allows us to see where exactly the trades were opened and closed. This is a great feature in MetaTrader 4.

Now, when a beginner trader starts trading with any strategy he starts to test it. He does not know if this strategy is profitable or not. He was told that the strategy was profitable, and he believes in that. He does not do any backtesting Forex, because this is not possible with manual trading. Even you go back over the chart, you can not test properly all possible variations of opened and closed trades. It is impossible!

That is why the trader needs the Expert Advisors in order to see if a strategy is profitable or not. The only way to see the past results with any strategy is by Backtesting Forex Expert Advisor.

Now, what are the Expert Advisors?

These are automated strategies in a code. The very same entry and exit condition that the trader has, with the SL and TP, and all rules around can be placed in Expert Advisors with a code. Once attached to the trading chart it will open traded whenever those entry and exit conditions are met.

Backtesting Forex strategies is easy, and in this lecture, you will learn how to do it.
